What to Expect & Token System Overview:
You have real control over your reviews. We want to help you get the most reviews for your tokens! It's important to understand that the number of tokens it takes to list your book isn't always the same as the "cost" of each review you receive.
Keeping your book visible in our Review Library is easy, with sufficient tokens earned by reviewing other books. Your active participation directly boosts your review rate. Consistently reviewing books creates a positive cycle that benefits everyone.
💰 Why Token Costs Can Vary💰
If your book is in a competitive genre or has specific review requirements (like only Verified Purchases), it might take a few more tokens to attract reviewers. That's because there's more competition!
Time and Tokens: When your book requires a higher token value because of these factors, it may also take a little longer to get reviews, depending on how many books you need to review to earn that same token amount.
Finding Your Book's "Sweet Spot" 🍬 🧁
If you're finding that you need to offer a big bonus, or if you're only offering a limited number of review options or countries, then that's simply the normal token value to get reviews for your book. See the competitive bonus noted further down on the page.
Don't worry! This just means you've found the right "recipe" for your book. It's all about finding what works best for you and your audience.
Preventing 🚨 on Amazon means Limiting The Number of Reviews You Can Write to earn tokens:
To safeguard your Amazon account and your book's integrity, we've implemented a review submission limit: members can post a maximum of 8 reviews per week. This policy is crucial for two key reasons:
(1) Protects your Amazon account from potential review privilege bans, which can occur when excessive reviews are submitted rapidly, resulting in the deletion of all past reviews.
(2) Shields your book from Amazon's potential banning of books that experience a sudden surge in reviews, a risk we aim to eliminate. While this paced approach ensures protection and influences token earning rates, numerous strategies exist to effectively boost your token acquisition within these guidelines.

Review Methods:
Offering 3+ Methods for Review 💻 📕 💾
Every reader has their own preference for reading and reviewing books. Offering at least 3 methods for review, where one of these methods is a Free PDF of EPUB, provides a good balance.
Members with only 1-2 review methods frequently request support for their review rate, typically only offering verified purchase review methods.
If you have a book type such as a coloring or activity book that cannot be added to Kindle Unlimited or Purchaes on Kindle, your overall token cost will be higher. See Finding Your Book's "Sweet Spot" noted above.
Country/Region Restrictions 🌎 🌍 🌏
If you're restricting where you'll accept reviews from, consider opening up to accept reviews from more countries.
If you have a target marketplace, your regular cost to get a review will be higher than the base token cost of listing a book since you'll have to consistently offer a high token bonus to get a review. You'll need to consider this the standard cost of a review for your book and review books with similar values to offset the number of books you need to read.
The Number of Books You Have 📕 📗📙
The number of books you list also impacts your review rate as a higher volume of tokens is required to keep them all circulating in the review library. Naturally people with one book will get more reviews for that book. However, people who have multiple books may get the same number of reviews, but they'll be spread out among all their books.
If you want many reviews across all books around the same time, this means more time spend on your part reading and reviewing books to earn this high token volume. You'll want to choose books that have higher token values & bonuses to help offset your total effort.
Factors Related to Your Book
The Impact of Genre
A book's genre and subject matter significantly influence how often it gets reviewed. Books with wider appeal, belonging to popular genres and targeting a broad audience, naturally receive reviews more quickly. Conversely, books focused on niche subjects or aimed at a narrow audience tend to gather reviews at a slower pace.
For example, a contemporary romance novel with a captivating love story will likely receive more reviews faster than a highly specialized academic text on ancient Mesopotamian pottery.
The Effort Factor
The length and complexity of your book also play a role in the number of reviews you receive. A short, easy-to-read book, like childrens books, coloring books, or puzzle books, requires minimal time and effort to review. However, a lengthy or technically complex book demands more time and concentration from the reviewer.
This increased time commitment naturally reduces the pool of potential reviewers willing to take on the task. Additionally, the reviewers who are interested in these types of books will naturally take longer to complete and submit their reviews which causes the review rate to be a little slower.
Your Book Cover Matters
The quality of your book cover significantly impacts how many reviews it receivest's what catches the eye in our review library, and a truly great cover can make all the difference. A well-designed, eye-catching cover naturally draws in more reviewers.
It's like a warm invitation to learn more about your story. When reviewers are captivated by your cover, they're much more likely to click, read, and share their thoughts with a review. Let your cover shine and watch those reviews roll in!
